What We Do
Living Hope Farm offers private, permanent placement for boys ages 6–18 within single family homes led by married houseparents. Each home is centered on a Christ-focused way of life, where boys are known, supported, and guided with care shaped by trauma-informed training.
Here, growth happens through everyday life - steady relationships, meaningful responsibility, and opportunities to learn and work with their hands. As trust is rebuilt and confidence grows, each boy is encouraged to develop both strong character and practical life skills.
Our goal is lasting change: to see each child step into a future marked by stability, purpose, and hope, no longer defined by the cycles they came from but equipped to live differently.
Why We Do It
We believe every child deserves a family, not just a place to stay. For thousands of boys in Virginia, childhood passes without ever finding a permanent home — a family who claims them for good, not just for a season. Living Hope Farm exists to be that family. Our house parents raise them and guide them through their time with us, and the relationship doesn’t end when they leave. We stay in their lives — visiting, staying connected, and walking alongside them for as long as they’ll have us.
4,500 + Children
More than 4,500 kids are currently in Virginia’s foster care system, and boys make up over half of them. Most spend nearly two years in the system, often moving between placements without ever finding a permanent home.
3-4% Earn a Degree
Only 3-4% of youth without a home complete a college degree by age 26, even with programs designed to help. Without a stable family cheering them on and guiding the way, most kids simply don’t have the support to get there.
Less Youth Are Finding Permanancy
In FY 2024, only 76% of Virginia youth in foster care exited to a permanent home—falling short of the state's 86% target and continuing a three-year decline from a peak of 82% in 2021.

Every child deserves more than a place to stay—they deserve a family. At Living Hope Farm, boys are welcomed into stable, Christ-centered homes led by dedicated house parents who provide the love, consistency, guidance, and belonging every child needs to heal and thrive.
Counseling and Mentoring
Healing happens through trusted relationships. Professional counseling, trauma-informed care, and consistent mentoring help each boy process past experiences, build healthy relationships, strengthen emotional resilience, and grow into the man God created him to be.
Trade Exploration
Not every child’s path looks the same. Through hands-on exposure to skilled trades and practical work experiences, boys discover their interests, develop valuable abilities, and gain confidence as they prepare for meaningful careers and independent adulthood.
Soft Skill Building
Character and life skills are developed through everyday family life. Boys learn responsibility, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, leadership, conflict resolution, and strong work habits that prepare them for success in every area of life.
Career and College Readiness
Every child leaves with a plan for the future. Through academic support, career exploration, résumé building, job readiness, and college guidance, we equip young men to confidently pursue higher education, skilled trades, or meaningful employment.
Farm Experience Opportunities
Nature has a unique way of slowing life down and creating space for healing. Through caring for animals, working in the garden, and spending time outdoors, boys build responsibility, confidence, and resilience while experiencing the peace and purpose found in caring for God’s creation.
Our Story
Living Hope Farm is currently being launched. The vision began with a calling from God to give youth the opportunity to thrive in a stable environment — a place where they can be equipped with the tools to build brighter futures and discover the person God created them to be.
For Dylan Hall, this calling is deeply personal. As a paramedic, he saw people on their worst days. He also grew up in a broken family—until his mother removed him and his sibling, giving them safety and love. Later, Dylan watched God transform his father's life into that of a faithful disciple and church leader. This journey shaped Dylan's conviction that God rescues and heals. In this context he received God's call to serve youth in unstable environments who lack mentors and supportive families.
At the same time, God was preparing Aslan for this journey. From a young age, she had a heart for those who are overlooked — the ones in the background, struggling silently. Having grown up in a stable and loving home, she longed for others to experience the same foundation. She carried a deep passion for youth ministry and sensed that God would one day call her back to that work. As Dylan received this vision, God was also shaping Aslan, equipping her for the path ahead and uniting their hearts in a shared mission.
The formal journey toward Living Hope Farm began in 2022 with a needs assessment, confirming the demand for safe, trauma-informed, Christ-centered homes for youth in crisis. In 2024, the organization was officially founded, and a nonprofit consultant was hired to help guide its development. In 2025, Living Hope Farm set up an advisory committee, launched industry immersion and networking efforts, and began building a founding board to strengthen the organizational foundation. Living Hope Farm was awarded tax-exempt status through the IRS as a 501.c.3 in April of 2026.
Living Hope Farm is still in the preliminary stages, and it is rooted in a clear calling, a strong vision, and diligent preparation. Together, Dylan and Aslan bring experience, conviction, a strong network, and the drive for excellence to this work.
Our Team
Dylan Hall
Founder
Dylan Hall is the co-founder of Living Hope Farm and serves full-time as a firefighter/paramedic in Virginia. He holds an AAS in Emergency Medical Services and is completing a BS in Business Administration at Liberty University. Before his fire service career, Dylan founded and ran a small business and worked in construction sales and business development. He has also volunteered in pastoral ministry and mission work with Fisherman's Church.
Aslan Hall
Co Founder
Aslan Hall is the co-founder of Living Hope Farm. A graduate of cosmetology school, she worked professionally in the field before shifting her energy to building Living Hope Farm. She has served as a volunteer youth leader through her church and currently serves as the lead events coordinator for her congregation. Her background in hands-on service and community leadership shapes her role in growing Living Hope Farm.
Josh Poole
Board Member
Josh joined Living Hope Farm as a board member to serve others and help children in need. With his background in public accounting and specialization in the nonprofit sector, Josh seeks to maximize LHF's impact through the faithful stewardship of resources so that LHF is well equipped to help as many children as possible.
Danielle Castellano
Board Member
Danielle Castellano brings more than 15 years of nonprofit leadership experience, specializing in strategic planning, fundraising, communications, and organizational growth. She has worked alongside churches, ministries, and mission-driven organizations to strengthen their impact through sustainable development and donor engagement. As an Advisory Board Member for Living Hope Farm, Danielle is honored to support its mission of providing stable, Christ-centered homes for youth experiencing homelessness and is committed to helping the organization build a strong foundation for lasting hope and transformation.
